TOPBUXUS Box Tree Moth Trap + Pheromone attractants for 1 full season
Monitor Box Tree Moth activity
By monitoring the activity of the Boxwood Moth using the TOPBUXUS Box Tree Moth Trap, you can predict when new Boxwood caterpillars will hatch in your Boxwood. This way you can easily determine the right moment to carry out a biological treatment against these caterpillars with TOPBUXUS Anti Caterpillar
Includes attractants for 1 season
Included with the trap are 2 capsules of pheromones (attractants). Each capsule has an efficacy of approximately 10-12 weeks after application. In the 3rd week of May, place 1 capsule in the basket in the lid of your moth trap and place the trap in your garden near your Boxwood. Store the other capsule in the refrigerator or freezer. In the last week of July, refresh the pheromone by using the 2nd capsule. This allows you to effectively monitor Boxwood Moth activity for an entire season with only 2 capsules per trap.
CAUTION: Do not open pheromone capsule!
The pheromone is embedded in the special capsule, which is slightly porous, allowing controlled release of the pheromone over a period of about 8 weeks. When the cap is removed, the pheromone is released too quickly, shortening the effect.
Range of 200 m2 / 2,000 sqft
The pheromone in the moth trap attracts male Boxwood moths in an area of up to 200 square metres / 2,000 square feet.
NOTE: Treatment with TOPBUXUS Anti Caterpillar remains necessary.
The season starts with Boxwood caterpillars that have hibernated in the Boxwood. You can control these caterpillars biologically with TOPBUXUS Anti Caterpillar. The first Boxwood moths will only appear AFTER the first wave of caterpillars. The moth trap is only intended to monitor the activity of the Boxwood moth, it is not possible to prevent a moth infestation with this device.
